Patsy Sullivan, Banteer a famous runner + known locally as (the) "Patsy of Gardcuin." This Patsy struck John Poleinau, Clonmeen, Banteer, accidentally, with a hurley in the eye + broke it. Coleman has been wearing a glass eye for nearly 40 yrs.

Another Hurlin Match took place in Joe Lehane;s The postman's field, Banteer about 40 years ago, between Banteer and Ahabulloge. Ahabulloge were champions.
