    At the conquering match between Cork and Tipperary
    'Twas played in the park by the banks of the Lee
    Our southern boys were afraid of being beaten
    They sent for bold Tady to Ballinagree
    He hurled the ball left and right in their faces
    Showing the Tipperary boys training and skill
    If they bounched in his lines he was sure for to brain them
    So they placed in the papers the praise of Tady Quill

    At the Cork Exhibition there was a young lady
    Her fortune exceeded a million and more
    A weak constitution had ruined her completely
    And medical treatment had failed ore and ore
    Our Mamma, said she, I know what will heal me
    Or cure the disease that will certainly kill
    Give up all your doctoring your plains & your medicine
    I'd rather one shaking from bold Tady Quill

    In the year '81 when Parnell was taken
    Tady was outrageously breaking the peace
    He was bound down with chains for 3 weeks in Kilmainham
    And got 6 months hard labour for beating the police
