to be done in Taur, eggs are found under hay-cocks. They are also done by the cleansings of cows. There was one found on a boundary fence accompained with a skimming dish and a milk strainer.
Long ago, people lighted bonfires on Saint John's eve, they took splinters from the fire and ran around the crops to prevent ill luck. We have three Rogation Days which are the days before Ascension Thursday on which priests bless water. People take this home and sprinkle it on the crops to prevent them from harm.
