Burns.
Rub olive oil and bandage.
Rub hog's lard, that there is no salt in, to the burn.
Sore throat.
Poultice it with dried, hot salt, or hot meal.
A sty in your eye.
Rub your fasting spittle to it, 9 mornings after each other.
Wash your eyes with cold tea in the morning.
A cold.
Boil an onion in milk and drink it going to bed.
A cup of hot milk with some butter in it.
Pain in the ear.
Put a little sweet oil on a little cotton wool and put it into the ear.
Consumption.
Pull the dandelion with its roots, boil it in water, strain it, and drink the water.
