Right gallantly did Sean Óg's band, fight on for victory's fame.
Two points ahead they now did hold, five minutes more remain.
O'Driscoll brave is down and out, the shepherd of his flock.
Who else can stand against the charge of gallant old Blackrock.

The end is nigh and hearts are set, what's happened watch it go!
The ball is out to centrefield, from sideline to and fro.

The men who fought through storm and rain and conquered bold Blackrock. This was provided by Mr. Daniel O'Connell of Curraleigh & collected by his son Dan.
It is evidently of recent date, as the hurlers mentioned, especially Seán Óg, were well known men in Cork hurling circles from 1926 - 1931. I'm including it lest it may be local & unknown hitherto.
