    Hegarty from Lisheen used to leap nine feet in height and used to win many prizes. One time he cut wire with his teeth and he got a great prize.
    William Mahoney from Dreenlomane once caught a hare as he was running and he killed him with a kick of his naked foot
    Daniel Hurley, Dreenaclough was a noted runner and walker. He used run a mile in ten minutes
    Dan Cahalane, Ballybawn, Ballydehob was a great runner.
    Andrew Sullivan, Derrycarhoon, used to mow two acres of hay in one day
    Patrick Connell Barryroe had a horse that had sore legs. He took the horse
