    Robert Swanton was the landlord over the districts of Fortview, Bawnashanaclough, Sparragradda, Gortnagrue, Droumkeal, Derryliharde, and Shronagree. He was called Deaf Robert, He was claiming a bog from another man. He told him to clear out of the bog. The man struck him with the shovel and deafened him. Shots were fired at him the time of the land - league. His eye was shot out. His son was called Yellow George. He was landlord after him.
