  1. In this district people never begin ploughing or house building on Monday, as they consider it unlucky to do so. It is believed that any seed planted on Good Friday would be sure to grow. People never redden earth on Good Friday. It is a custom among the women to put eggs hatching on Good Friday. It is considered unlucky to go to visit a sick person on Monday or Friday, if you have not seen him before during the illness. It is considered unlucky to get married on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is said to be unlucky to draw blood or drive a nail on Friday. If you fell sick on Friday you would never get well.
