  1. Another fox came into the Island over forty years ago. He was making a scrios and he had the sign of it - he wasn't a good runner. They were after him for over a year before they killed him.
    One day in the month of May there was a crowd of them to the hill gathering sheep for shearing. When they were coming hither near the tower they started him and off he goes down to the sea - towards the cliffs. Some of them kept after him and more of them kept higher up. They cut down across and they shut him off east of Carraig Fhiachna, so he was shut off from the east and the south and there was nothing below him but the cliff. They were all throwing stones at him and he turned west again along the edge of the cliff. Inside the point of Carraig Fhiachna there is a narrow cuas running in to the land - tis about 80 feet deep and only about six feet wide. When he came so far he was closed in from all sides, so he had nothing to do but to jump across the cuas. He made the
