  1. Sean-Thadhg's horse swims DURSEY SOUND with spancel on her.
    Sometimes, long ago, the Dursey people used carry their horses out with them, across the Sound when they would be going on any journey - to Castletown or any place far away. This day Seana-Thadhg brought out his horse and when he came to the Sound it was dark. When ever the night used catch them like that, they used leave the horses outside until the next day. So Seana-Thadhg put a spancel on his horse and left her there. When he came over in the morning, where did he find the horse but east on the cliff near Caladh na mBó. She was after swimming across the Sound with the spancel on her.
