   "Ill turn myself when I'm read" said the cake
   When the cake was baked it flew up the chimnly
   It ran on the road till it came to a barn full of threshers.
   How far did you travel to-day little cake"?
   asked the threshers.
   "from a little wee pot and a little pan. and from you if I can" said the cake as it ran away.
   The threshers ran after it, threw their flails at it,
   but they could not catch it. It ran on till it met a road full of scholars
   "How far did you travel to day, little cake"? asked the scholars."From a little wee woman etc a barnfull of threshers and from you if I can" said the cake. The scholars ran after it, threw their books after it but could not catch it. The cake went on till it came to a well full of washers "How far did you travel to-day little cake"? asked the washers
   "From a little we woman etc a barnfull of threshers, a road full of scholars and from you if I can" said the cake. They threw their beetles after it but could not catch it
