    to see fires in the centre of the floors except in the case of people who had been evicted from their own home. People who had a vacant barn often gave shelter to these people. In such as case they put the fire in the centre of the floor.
    There is a very old house in the parish and it had a hip gable, and no glass in the windows. It is the very same type of a house as what was out long ago.
