  1. In the county Galway about fifty years ago there lived an old woman who used to supply the Priest with butter for the whole year round although she had only two cows. One morning she was caught milking a neighbours cow and was reported to the Priest.
    The next time she brought butter to the Priest he asked her if it was all her own but she said it was. He then took out his prayer book and prayed over the butter for an hour. When he had finished all the butter left the table except a small piece.
    Then he said to her that what was left was her's.
