  1. Gráine Maol's Castle is in Connemara. You could see the river Shannon, County Clare and the Ships in Galway bay from the top of the Castle.
    Gráine Maol was a woman who owned the Castle. She built a prision over a river and when she wanted to put prisoners to death all she had to was to open a trap door and let the prisoner into the river. The river i flows very fast and used to sweep the person out to sea.
