- Knockalegan is a hill at the end of my townland. The word means the "Hill of the calves". The hill gives us the first part of the name.

- There is a forth about a mile from Lisalway Post Office. There is pot of gold hid there and a bull is supposed to be minding it. If anyone wants to get the gold they would have to find it while the bull would be away.
It is said that a light is seen coming from Rathtra down to that forth and it is often seen by people going to fairs.
