  1. "Loughnascail" is situated in Kilmogue. It consists of two big stones standing up which are fifty feet high and across these two is a flag which is supposed to be twenty tons weight.
It is said that it was a giant who lifted the flag up on the two high ones. The priests used to hide and say Mass there during the Penal Days. It is covered over with ivy now. It is situated about four fields from farmer's house but you could see it from the road. It is partly on a slope and the flag is only barely reaching the big ones across. Many people would be afraid to go under the flag for fear it might fall on them.
