  1. About forty years ago two boys from this parish stole apples out of the Priest's orchard.
    They went into the Church-yard near-by to count them. This is how they did it. "one to you and one to me." When they were going to the Church-yard two apples had dropped and they said they would leave them there until they were coming out. While they were counting them two other people were passing by the gate and when they heard the counting inside they decided it was God and the Devil dividing the souls. They stood waiting outside, until the counting
