  1. About 100 years ago there lived in Mullinavat a man named Peter Isabeck. He was an old ship carpenter. He was a married man and had no children. His wife was a dressmaker. He died when he was about 70 years old. There were boys by the name of Flynn living near him and when he died they played a trick on the wife. They were at the wake and when the people were saying the rosary they had a rope around his waist inside the habit and when they were in the middle of the rosary they pulled the rope and the dead man sat up in the bed and they said to him "What time is it Peter and will you have a shock of a pipe."
