  1. A tall weed with a yellow flower known as the "rag-weed" is the most harmful herb for the reason that it spreads very quickly and people can be summoned nowadays for having these weeds growing on their land.
    People often boil the roots of dandy-lion and nettles as a cure for the stomach, and the thorns of gooseberries for curing a sty.
    Some of these herbs are given as food to animals such as nettles for turkeys and pigs.
