    Then years after a great piece of boggy land slid from the brow of the adjacent mountain and rolled into the lake & partly filled it up. And every year since, the lake has been gradually filling up, leaving only a dark pool in the (centre) center. And on the green borders surrounding this pool is springing up again. The Alder, The Hazel, The Birch & the holly to again replace (to again replace) the green wood which once waved in this silent Glen and at which one time or another was destroyed or cut away by the hands of Fandals.
