  1. There is an old castle in Killarney. The name of the castle is Ross Castle. It is about six or seven centuries old. The castle is overlooking one of the lakes. It is supposed to be founded by the old bishops. There are not supposed to be many battles fought there. In a battle that was fought there the defenders of the castle drove back their attackers leaving many wounded and dead. There were dungeons in the castle and here the prisoners were put to death. The castle is now in ruins.
