    Another strong man near Lismore was Gerh Callaghan. One day this man was attacked by a big heavy bull in a large field, he had no chance of getting away so he waited till the bull came on. He then side-stepped and caught the bull by the horns. Gerh after some time knocked the bull and held him there till help came. Then he left go the animal and crossed the ditch into another field.
