  1. Monday is a very lucky day, Friday is supposed to be unlucky especially for marriages. People believe that Friday is a lucky day to begin work on and they look upon Salin day on which to begin work on as it is the last day of the week. Mondays and Thursdays are the days on which remedies for the "Ring-worm" are sought.
    During Lent hair is not trimmed and the cutting is deferred to Holy Thursday or "trimming Thursday" as it is called. During (whit Sunday?) it is supposed to be unlucky to get a person's hair out or to do
