  1. A man named Morrison from Kingsfort, Ballymote, Co. Sligo, employed a man named Martin Brennan, Cletta, Ballymote, to thresh some oats. It was the custom to leave the oats on a door while threshing it.
The night before the work started, Brennan left for Morrison's carrying a door on his back. As he was passing by an old fort he heard music inside. He stopped and listened and when he looked in, he saw the fairies dancing.
He left down the door and started to dance on it. He could not stop dancing when he wished and hat to dance all through the night. He was found at day-break quite exhausted and had to remain in bed for a month.
The foregoing was related to me by Mr Owen Nerney, Feenaghroe, Keash, Ballymote, Co. Sligo
