  1. About three years ago on eighteenth of May John Taheny who lived in Broher was found drowned in a sand-pit. He left the house that evening to look at some cattle and did not return home. The people of the house missed him, and some men went searching for him. At about eleven o'clock that night his body was found in the sand-pit.
