There lived in Limnagh a man named John Mulligan.

There lived in Limnagh a man named John Mulligan. He had a very big house which was badly thatched. There was a station of confession going to be in his house on the 6th March. The first time he got word was on the third of March, and that left him only two days for thatching the house. He got up very early on the first morning and cut rushes and made scollops, and thatched all the house on the next day. Father told it would take a man ten days now to thatch the same house.
