   Many years ago there lived in the townland of Corradoo, a man whose name was James Walsh. He was very healthy, and had very good teeth. He was never known to have a tooth-ache. He could take the head off any pin. He could also raise up a turf-barrow in his mouth, and cross a drain three feet wide with it in his mouth.

   There lived in Derrygola a man called John Casey. He was a great worker, and mower. One fine autumn day, he got up very early, milked the cows and did all the work around the house. He had a large field of oats to reap containing five roods. He started work at ten o'clock, and at eight o'clock
