  1. There were several holy wells in Ireland. There is a holy well in Tobernailt where people go to pray on Garland Sunday. Everyone that is going brings a bottle for holy water.
    There is a holy well also in Dromard where a lot of people go on 29th June. Long ago a lot of the old people would walk long journeys the day before and would not go to bed but praying the whole night. No people walk to those places now. They go on bicycles or motor cars.
