  1. There lived a woman and her son and they used to go from this place to Sligo. One night it got very late on them, and they could not go hime, atall. So they went to see and get lodgings but every one was in bed. Ther said the would have to go home. So when they were a mile out from Sligo they heard the black and tans coming. So they said they would hide and at last they saw a hole back in a rock and there they stayed until they passed and when they passed they were very glad that they got home safe that morning.
