  1. There is a holy well about one mile from where I live, situated in the land of Peter Gillooley Collooney Co Sligo.
    It is said by the old people of Tubberbride that Peter Gillooley (that) closed in the well because it was very dangerous for his cattle to be drinking out of it.
    And when it was closed up it sprung up through a trunk of a tree that was growing beside it. No matter how hot the Summer is this well never goes dry.
    This well is called after Sain Brigid. it was from this well that the townland got its name.
