  1. Mostly in every County in Ireland some treasure is hidden. One day three men were working in Duggan's Quarry at Kilgulban. They were not long at work when they found a bee-hived tomb in which there was a human persons, a golden spear and dagger.
When Doctor Crosbie heard the news he came to the Quarry and took them away. It was afterwards heard that he sent them to the Museum in Dublin.
The fairies are very much connected with hidden treasures. If you meet a "leprecan" he would tell you where gold is hidden. It is also said that a sow and litter of bonhams are hidden somewhere in Lisahane. Many people tried to find them.
People often dream where gold is hidden and many attempts are made to unearth it.
