Briget Burke is an old woman who often sleeps at our house.
The Raineys are a family of tinkers who often comes to this district. They stay about a week in every village. There are two families of them one of the families play the fiddle. They make saucepans and cans. When they are going from place to place. They go into every house they ask tea, or sugar, or milk or flour and when you give them sugar, tea or flour they say may the Lord have Mercy on all the souls belong to you. If you gave them milk they would say may God bless the cow.
The Monhans are another family of tinkers. They also make saucepans and cans like the Raineys.
