Most boys spend their past time by catching birds and rabbits. Birds are caught by means of a cradle bird which is made of sticks. It is set with a gabhlóg and a bow. When the bird stands on the bow the cradle bird falls and the bird is caught.
Rabbits are caught by means of a snare which is set near the burrow. When the rabbitt comes out he puts his head into the snare. Then he tries to escape but by pulling he chokes himself.
