  1. The year of the big wind was 1839. It was a very bright night. At midday the storm arose.
    All the people had to seek shelter under the ditches, lest their houses should be blown on top of them if they stayed indoors.
    Then it abated some of the people were left homeless. On the 6th January 1839 on Sunday the storm occurred.
