    held up his hands again and said distinctly three times "Go home, Go home, Go home". Frightened out of his wits back he went to his own home and went to bed.
    The other lads met and stole the turnips but as they were leaving the field with their booty the police came on them and had them arrested. They were imprisoned for three months with hard labour and my grandfather thanked the ghost for saving him and resolved never again to break the seventh commandment.
