    I. Strong men: -
    Michael Hunt Gortdromagowna Knockanure who is now about 70 yrs. and living in the USA was a great weight thrower. He threw the halfhundred 25 yards and won many competitions.
    II. Great Walkers: -
    James Hunt Carrueragh Knockanure who is now about 80 years walked from Carrueragh to Killorglin and home again in a day.
    III. Great Mowers: -
    John Horgan Knockanure who died in August 1937, aged 74 years was a great mower. He mowed an acre of hay in a day.
