  1. One day three men were working at Drommurhur. One of them is "Pá" Drury who is a wit and a poet. He asked for a fork for the meals. The woman of the house asked him what he wanted it for. "Pá" answered and said, "I want to pick out the herring's eyes before he would see the three of us facing him to eat him".
The same man was asked on another occasion why he was not eating the fish at the dinner and he said that he could not eat it until the tide was gone out.
