  1. Once there was a boy working with John O'Connor. It was coming near Christmas and he was expecting a goose from his master. When the first of December came the boy went home and he got no goose.
    There was a house near him, and they had a lot of white ducks. He got a bag and carried home some of the ducks. When he was going home he went through the short cut. As he was crossing a fence the ducks said "walk walk".
    "Ah ye need not said the boy. I am carrying ye on my back".
