  1. There are a lot of roads in Oughterard. Some of them are not long made. The Tonwee road goes up to Glan and it is a long time made. Derrylora road is made about thirty years. John Conor from Tonwee and Mat Mons from Glan made it.
    The Factory road leads to Ceann Reamar and to the Factory; it was made the time of the famine.
    There is an old path back along the Connemara mountain the old people used it going to Má Main long ago. There is a path from Tonwee to Derryloro and it is in use yet.
    There are a few bridges. The water falls bridge in Clareville, The Púcains bridge in Tonwee, and Camp bridge in Camp, there is a bridge back the Connemara road and another over Aba Mór the train used to go over it.
    There are stepping stones across the river in Clarveville. There are stepping stones also in Wellpark going across to O'Brien's house.
