    Straw Mats.
Get about twelve sheaves of good long straw and clean it well. Take half fist fulls and put heads and ends together. Make twelve such. Make a straw rope about 3 ft long. Double it and put in the locks of straw about six inches apart. Plait the locks until you have one side finished. Do the same with the other side. When you have the two sides finished plait the two together with a straw rope.
