He escaped to the Continent after the Battle at the Ford. The priest was Fr O Corneen ( or Giolla Cnaw) (Ford). Fr. O Curneen is buried in Inch Is., Lough Allen. Fr Thomas Ford P.P. buried 1853 in Kilbride, Innismagráth, Drumkeerin.
