    Warts. Rub a bit of fat bacon on the wart and put the bacon under a stone. as the bacon decays the wart goes away.
    Rub a bit of paper on the wart and tie the paper up like a parcel. Whoever picks up the paper will get the wart.
    When the funeral of a relative is passing pluck three handfuls of grass, stand the way the funeral is going and say,
    ''Corpse, Corpse
    As you decay
    Take my warts away''
    Throwing a handful of grass after the word 'corpse' another at 'decay' and another at 'away'.
    Sprain. Cure of sprain in wrist. Black silk thread tied round wrist.
    Cobwebs. cobwebs applied to cut stops bleeding .
    Kept under kitchen table for the purpose
    The white of an egg whipped up and lemon juice and sugar added is a cure for a cold.
    Sliced onion covered with brown sugar and left in a bowl over night, strain off the juice, drink for cold.
    Brown sugar and soap mixed will draw a festering
    Fat bacon also draws festering
    A foxes tongue will draw a thorn.
