- About thirty years ago in the townland of Glenboy there was an old Bleech Mill in working order. The of this old mill is yet to be seen. It is situated in a big green field called the bleech green beside the Abánn Mór river. It is a very big Slated house and gave employment to about eight persons. At this time nearly every person grew flax was cut it was steeped in a boghole until it was soured. Then it was taken home and spread on the field to dry. When it was dried it was brought in to the house and switched. The scutching was done with scutching handles and the flax was scutched until it was left seedless.
