When the gentleman saw what was drawing the cart he got frightened and he told the giant to do away with the slates and the things that was drawing the cart. The man got afraid after this and he told the priest about it. So one day the priest was talking to the giant (one day) and he told him he wanted to see him after mass on a certain Sunday.
The priest and the gentleman had the plan made up all the people to nob around the giant on that Sunday and try to do away with him.
The giant went to the chapal and just when he was outside the door the people ran out and one would give him a kick and another would give him a shove. He had a horse with him and he got vexed. He took the horse by the two hind legs and flung him about and he put people flying every direction. He knew now that the gentleman wanted to do away with him so he went home to the gentleman and he said if he would not give him his daughter and half his estate he would kill him. The gentleman was afraid of him so he consented to do so.
