- About forty five years ago two men were living in Cashel. On day they went to Clifden. They had to walk it because there were no bicycles at the time. They left at about eight o'clock in the morning and reached Clifden at ten o'clock. It was a fair day and remained in the town till it was dark.
One of them bought two bonhams. He put them into a bag and set off for home. As he was coming they bored a hole in the bag. One of them fell on the road and ran away. He left the bag on the road and ran after the bonham. In a little garden near the road he saw an old woman dressed in a white skirt and blouse. The bonham ran towards her and the man did not know what to do. He ran off to where he left the bag and came(continues on next page)- Collector
