    ago. There is one old man living in the village. He is eighty six years of age. His name is Michael Burke, Monksfield, Craughwell, Co. Galway. He can tell no story in English or in Irish. Twenty years ago there were ninteen houses in the village but now there is only six houses in it and there are four of them in ruins. The people of these houses went to America and the land was divided amongst the inhabitants of the village. The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. There is a big wood growing in the
