    Shoes: Adults wore neither shoes nor stockings.
    Lóipín - made of wool something like gaiters or spats used to come out to near toes - no soles to them
    Mantles or Cloaks - reached down to end of skirt - worn by women
    Caps:- Old women used wear caps in houses - caps of muslin beautifully made up - had a special iron for putting frills on the caps - frills stood out in front of cap Young girls used wear them long ago and wore them on marriage day
    Chairs:- No chairs or stools only suidhistíni made from straw - were very comfortable
    Straw was very much used e.g.
    (1) Over camp beds (beds covered with timber
    (2) Suidhistini
    (3) Footballs made of sugáin and special lad to make them
    Food:- Mostly potatoes for every meal huge heap of same on table - no tablecloth No knives or forks only a short knife called a beideac for potatoes. This was placed under leaf of table in special place Youngest in house used to say Grace always before or after meals. Eggs very plentiful
