Willie Curran's house in Beaghmore and he was making griddles 'Grussles' - a 'vessel for feeding cats' - spades and spears
There was a man once and he wanted a man to thatch his house. He would not let any man thatch it but the man that was able to do a streak up and a streak down and no man could do that
At last he got a man and he was not able to do it. The man of the house told him to go home
The Thatcher then asked a reference of the man of the house when he was writing the reference the Thatcher told him to do a line back and a line over He said he could not do that
"Well", said the thatcher "I cannot thatch up and down"
"Well! if you cannot," said the man of the house "go out and thatch the house."
