  1. Once upon a time there was a man out fishing away North of Malin Head. He was out a good while when a whale tossed the boat and swallowed the man. When he was in the whale three days the whale lay up against a rock to rest and the man had a pen-knife in his pocket, so he took it out and cut the whale's stomach and got away.

  2. Once upon a time there was a ship coming from America and on it was an old woman selling oranges - "two a 1d". A whale followed the ship and the sailors threw out the oranges & stall but it still followed on. Then they threw out the old lady and some time later the whale was caught and when it was opened the woman was inside calling: - Oranges 2 a 1d.
