    straw rope is. First they get straw and a twister as it is called. Then one man gets some straw and makes a little loop with it and he puts it on to a bend on the end of the twister. Then the man who has the twister begins to twist. The other man continually takes more straw and catches it on to the loop of straw which he made. The man who is twisting goes backwards twisting all the time until the rope is the desired length.
    They usually get the fir for the fir ropes in the bog. They took them and pleated them together and made ropes out of them.
